The Oregon Department of Environmental Quality, Department of Agriculture, and Water Resources Department are seeking comments on the state's Nitrate Reduction Plan for the Lower Umatilla Basin Groundwater Management Area.

On October 31st, Oregon Department of Agriculture published its proposed LUBGWMA rules for public comment.

September 2025 marked exactly one year since the Oregon Nitrate Reduction Plan was launched, and we think this milestone is an appropriate time to look at what has been accomplished to date as well as some of the results the community can expect in the short and long term.
